An upgraded model is also available, one 2.3 liter turbo-four that creates 285 horsepower and 305 pound-feet of torque. Both receive a six-speed automatic transmission and are available in both front or all-wheel drive (AWD).

In terms of efficiency, the 2.0 liter engine model is top in terms of efficiency. This front-wheel drive model achieves an EPA-estimated 28 miles per gallon highway, making the MKC an efficiency leader in its category.
