Bold 2017 Lincoln Navigator Concept Shows Off Interior

The Lincoln Navigator has never shied away from boldness, and the new Navigator concept car reviewed by the guys at Top Gear carries the torch beautifully. While this is just a concept car, it’s the concept for the 2017 Navigator production mode, which will unfortunately not feature the magnificent gullwing doors seen in the pictures.

Even without the gullwing doors, it’s easy to see the maritime inspiration that went into this stately vehicle’s design. When you enter the car you’re met by six leather seats, all 30-way adjustable. The Navigator features an onboard wardrobe and there are screens in the rear of all the headrests. While, again, this is just the concept car, Lincoln president Kumar Galhotra says “the design language is a very strong hint at what the production car will look like,” of course, without the wingspan.

”We’ve been on this journey to rejuvenate the brand. We’ve been working on the human experiences we’re providing for our customers. We have a very loyal customer base for this product, it’s an iconic name and car for us. With a name like Navigator, it was obvious that we take inspiration from sailboats and yachting. The colour of the interior and exterior is inspired by this.” –Lincoln president Kumar Galhotra to TopGear.com

With no word about the release date for the 2017 Navigator production vehicle, we’ll just have to sate our appetites on this delicious concept car. Here at Star Lincoln, we can’t wait to see what the 2017 Navigator production model has in store for us, even if it means we’ll lose the gullwings and floor runners. While you’re in, be sure to check out our wide selection of other outstanding Lincoln models and let Lincoln show you what luxury is meant to be.
